Sold a couple more books on Amazon and wanted to share the philosophies I wrote for them. No time to jibber jabber now though cause I don't have nearly enough money making endeavors going on right now. I do have some scrap I'm turning in today and hopefully that'll bring another $10 but I need some real work, people still don't seem to trust or get me on Craigslist yet and I don't have enough contacts to find the work that people are wanting done. Perhaps today I'll spend some good time fixing up my Linked in and see if I can find some other entrepreneurs in Springfield that we may be able to help each other out.

So it's the ides of September and we're only $200 into making rent for this month but things are constantly picking up. It took a bit to mourn the loss of my digital camera because I was using that as a kind of psychic mirror to help me see the good in the ideas I was doing but I have recently recalled that my inlaws have a digital camera they'd likely loan me. It's actually a really good one, better than the one I had, and I've got a case it'll fit in so I can't possibly lose it.
With our finances in ruin it's hard for me to be so excited about doing the free style work that I've been accomplishing lately. I've made a diverse network of connections that has enabled me to make little bits of money here and there all the while giving me opportunities to do the dumpster diving I bring slight bits of profit from as well. But right now we need for us both to have full time jobs because that's the most likely way we'll be able to get ourselves back on our feet. But every day is a new opportunity and there's really no telling what will happen. And if I do end up getting a full time job with a company again then at least I'll have the confidence to go back to the free lancing that I'm working on now. Only next time we should have more of a savings, more resources, and more contacts to help us along. That's about it for now, I have a lot of things that I can get done today and i'm excited to get started but I had an idea to make this blog thing more interesting. At the end of every posting I will give a little blurb on how people can do better for the world. In this instance it's even something that really takes no extra effort. Do Better Blurb (Working title) - If you don't recycle your cans put your empty cans back into the box that you bought them in and when you throw them away just set them to the side of the trashcan. If you feel real sporting maybe tape a note card or something to it to indicate that they are aluminum cans. I guarantee that someone will pick them up. Presently at CMC Recycling here in Springfield, MO they're .60 cents per pound. At approximately 30 cans per pound each can is worth .02 cents. And what you are doing is helping the poor help themselves and keeping them from having to actually climb into the dumpster or reach in with their grabber so they don't have to get dirty with stinky garbage. Thanks and have a great everything! Am finishing a quick egg and biscuit muffin I made for Randi and I; I've been up for several hours now working on a couple things. Primarily, it looks like that what we're going to be doing for rent money this month is give a guy a ride to Wichita Falls, TX from Springfield, MO where we live.
This guy is just some derpster I met while walking too and from Dillon's up the street but he's a really nice and honest seeming guy. He's looking to get a leg up in life by moving to north Texas where he's heard there might be more jobs and I've been trying to help him in any way we can. Because while he said he'd pay me just to drive him down there I can't conscieably drive him there without at least a place to stay and some idea of what he's getting himself into. Therefore, I've spent a good couple hours finding out about the town, looking into places to stay, internet access, library, poor people services, and I've even contacted a good Christian soldier online through Craigslist to see if I might be able to get a better idea of what it's like down there from a local's perspective. So anyway, that's the present update. Not quite kicked out yet and it looks like we're going to be able to make a late rent sometime mid month but then there's electric, car, insurance, and two credit cards. Not to mention medical (for knife through hand incident, oops) and student loans (whom are calling every day now, i'll contact them next week to see what we can do). I need to take a shower and get ready, church in an hour with the dude, Richard, and then back here to get him set up with a resume and some apps online. |
