Sold a couple more books on Amazon and wanted to share the philosophies I wrote for them. No time to jibber jabber now though cause I don't have nearly enough money making endeavors going on right now. I do have some scrap I'm turning in today and hopefully that'll bring another $10 but I need some real work, people still don't seem to trust or get me on Craigslist yet and I don't have enough contacts to find the work that people are wanting done. Perhaps today I'll spend some good time fixing up my Linked in and see if I can find some other entrepreneurs in Springfield that we may be able to help each other out.

So it's the ides of September and we're only $200 into making rent for this month but things are constantly picking up. It took a bit to mourn the loss of my digital camera because I was using that as a kind of psychic mirror to help me see the good in the ideas I was doing but I have recently recalled that my inlaws have a digital camera they'd likely loan me. It's actually a really good one, better than the one I had, and I've got a case it'll fit in so I can't possibly lose it.
With our finances in ruin it's hard for me to be so excited about doing the free style work that I've been accomplishing lately. I've made a diverse network of connections that has enabled me to make little bits of money here and there all the while giving me opportunities to do the dumpster diving I bring slight bits of profit from as well. But right now we need for us both to have full time jobs because that's the most likely way we'll be able to get ourselves back on our feet. But every day is a new opportunity and there's really no telling what will happen. And if I do end up getting a full time job with a company again then at least I'll have the confidence to go back to the free lancing that I'm working on now. Only next time we should have more of a savings, more resources, and more contacts to help us along. That's about it for now, I have a lot of things that I can get done today and i'm excited to get started but I had an idea to make this blog thing more interesting. At the end of every posting I will give a little blurb on how people can do better for the world. In this instance it's even something that really takes no extra effort. Do Better Blurb (Working title) - If you don't recycle your cans put your empty cans back into the box that you bought them in and when you throw them away just set them to the side of the trashcan. If you feel real sporting maybe tape a note card or something to it to indicate that they are aluminum cans. I guarantee that someone will pick them up. Presently at CMC Recycling here in Springfield, MO they're .60 cents per pound. At approximately 30 cans per pound each can is worth .02 cents. And what you are doing is helping the poor help themselves and keeping them from having to actually climb into the dumpster or reach in with their grabber so they don't have to get dirty with stinky garbage. Thanks and have a great everything! Today has been a pretty eventful day. Still didn't make much (any) money but did collect about $10 worth of metal which I will show you now. Yes that is our guest bathroom... I know, right? But hey, I have a great deal of pride in the effort which I have been making here and I can see and feel a huge difference as my life changes from being plugged in to generating it's own energy. Although being myself has quite a few liabilities they are far worth the feeling I get from living this way and communing with people in special, normal ways.
The deal with the guy towhere I would have driven him to Wichita Falls, TX for $400 closed because he believes he has found a better prospect in Las Vegas, NV. After hearing what he had to say I do agree with him and though since we have set him up with an updated resume and email address such other help he is still offering us $200 to help him purchase the cheapest airfare possible and then drive him to the airport. That will still be quite a blessing unto us. So today is done and I am thankful. Tomorrow comes and I am hopeful. |
